Biography

Mr. Sasaki joined the Ministry of Finance, Japan in 1983. He has a number of experiences in financial sector supervision and capital market oversight through senior management positions at FSA. Until July 2019, he served as Director General, Strategy Development and Management Bureau of FSA, responsible for developing strategies of FSA as integrated financial regulator covering financial institutions, capital markets, audit firms as well as crypt asset issues.

He also has lots of experiences in international front, including working experiences at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) as well as the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
