略歴

Nelson Chow has been appointed to the present position from 1 September 2016 with responsibilities for facilitating the healthy development of the fintech ecosystem in Hong Kong and promoting Hong Kong as a fintech hub in Asia. He joined the HKMA in 2004 and was responsible for multiple roles, including the supervision of banks’ technology and operational risk management and business continuity planning as well as the formulation of related policies and guidelines. Prior to taking up his current role, he performed macro-prudential data analysis. Before joining the HKMA, he was a Vice President of JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.

Regulatory Sandbox の今後の国際連携の可能性

概要

現在様々な国でregulatory sandbox制度の運用や新設に向けた取り組みが行われているが、フィンテックはクロスボーダーでの取引も多く、国際的な法規制の枠組みもアジャイルにアップデートしていく必要がある。今後本格化するであろうサンドボックス間の連携に向けてそれぞれの相互互換性をどう確保していくかを議論する。
