Bureau in the United States, he became a senior position in 1997 specialized in the capital market. From 2000 to 2003, he worked as Senior Economist at Japan Center for Economic Research. He is a writer of periodical column on Nikkei Electronic Edition and on Nikkei Veritas news-magazine.
