Yuji Kawada is a Senior Researcher at Mitsubishi Research Institute, Inc., Japan's leading think tank and consulting company. While being seconded to Bank of Japan from 2016 to 2018 as a Director, he contributed to the joint research project "Stella" of the Bank of Japan and the European Central Bank. He was a core member of its two reports; "Payment systems: liquidity saving mechanisms in a distributed ledger environment", published in September 2017, and "Securities settlement systems: delivery-versus-payment in a distributed ledger environment", published in March 2018. He is now leading blockchain projects for clients.
