Masashi Hojo is a researcher and an engineer specializing in distributed systems, especially P2P networks and large-scale distributed processing systems.
After completing his master's degree at Tokyo Institute of Technology, he belonged to NTT DATA's Technology and Innovation General Headquarters and was involved in research and development for utilization of DLT / blockchain in commercial systems for the past three years.
Currently, he works for the Bank of Japan as a researcher and an engineer related to DLT technology, mainly Project Stella.
Project Stella is a BOJ/ECB joint research project to study the possible use of distributed ledger technology (DLT) for financial market infrastructures (FMIs). The session begins with the introduction of the Stella phase 3 report, followed by a panel discussion exploring the future of DLT and FMIs.
